Cybersecurity Analysts apply the practice of protecting assets such as networks, computer systems and information assets from malicious attacks and threats. They assess and mitigate risks and potential intrusions and identify risks and vulnerabilities. They study existing techniques for managing security issues and maintaining the security of information and systems in the working environment ensuring legal compliance.

The Cybersecurity Analyst qualification is completed over 1 year (12 months).
An NQF Level 4 qualification is required, and Computer Science or CAT is recommended but not always mandatory. This qualification is designed to help you build cybersecurity skills from a foundational level.
Graduates can work as Cybersecurity Analysts, ICT Security Specialists, Information Security Analysts, Cyber Security Consultants, or Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analysts.
