Important: Engineering N4–N6 (NATED/Report 191) qualifications are no longer open for new applications or registrations (last date was 30 June 2026). Students previously registered on the DHET system may still be eligible to complete outstanding N4 modules or continue to N5 and N6, subject to verification.

Course Overview

Engineering is the application of knowledge, typically in the form of science, mathematics, and empirical evidences to the innovation, design, construction, operation and maintenance of structures, machines and materials. Civil Engineering involves the design and construction of public and private works such as as building, roads, infrastructure etc. It entails surveying, structural & environmental engineering.

Grade 12 (Pure Mathematics/Mathematics Literacy and Physical Science); National Senior Certificate (NSC); Level 4 NCV; Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL); N3 Certificate in Civil Engineering
