  • Monitor and optimize operational resources in Azure SQL – Azure Monitor, metrics & alerts, Query Store, performance baselining, extended events, automatic tuning & Intelligent Insights.
  • Optimize query performance in Azure SQL – execution plans, index/statistic tuning, Query Store hints and best practices for high-egress workloads.
  • Automate database tasks for Azure SQL – ARM templates/Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI, SQL Agent (VMs), elastic jobs, Azure Automation and Logic Apps integration.
  • Plan and implement a high availability & disaster recovery environment – RPO/RTO planning, Always On AGs, failover clusters, geo-replication, auto-failover groups, backups & restores.
