Prerequisites

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Minimum of one year experience provisioning, operating and maintaining AWS environments.
  • Proficiency with Linux or Windows system administration tasks.
  • Working knowledge of networking, storage, security and scripting.

Course Content

  • Monitoring, Logging & Remediation – configure Amazon CloudWatch metrics, alarms, dashboards and EventBridge; centralise logs with CloudWatch Logs and S3; automate remediation with Lambda and Systems Manager.
  • Reliability & Business Continuity – design high-availability architectures (Auto Scaling, ELB, multi-AZ RDS); implement backup/restore strategies; use Amazon Route 53 health checks and Route 53 failover routing.
  • Deployment, Provisioning & Automation – automate infrastructure with AWS CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk and AWS CLI; manage configuration with Systems Manager; deploy applications using CodeDeploy and OpsWorks.
  • Security & Compliance – implement IAM policies, roles and MFA; configure security group and NACL rules; encrypt data at rest and in transit using KMS, S3 encryption and EBS encryption; audit with AWS Config and CloudTrail.
  • Networking & Content Delivery – design VPCs with subnets, NAT, Internet Gateways and VGWs; configure AWS PrivateLink, VPC peering and Transit Gateway; optimise content delivery with Amazon CloudFront.
  • Cost & Performance Optimization – monitor cost and usage with AWS Cost Explorer and Budgets; right-size instances with Compute Optimizer; choose appropriate storage classes (S3 Intelligent-Tiering, EFS Infrequent Access); implement caching strategies.
