Ronald Katlego Maako grew up in a multi-cultural home in Krugersdorp where people spoke Tswana, Pedi, Zulu and other languages. He matriculated from Hoërskool Bastion (a mainly Afrikaans school).
He loves reading and favoured spending a lot of his time at the library when he was younger. He enjoyed sketching from his primary school years and jumped at the chance to take the subject Visual Arts and Design in high school.
He studied Graphic Design in his first year at CTU Training Solutions and was part of the SRC as the secretary. In his second year he continued studies and specialised in Multimedia & Web Development where he passed Cum Laude and got awarded CTU Student Of The Year Award and Multimedia & Web Development Student Of The Year. He also freelanced throughout his studies.
After his studies, he worked as a graphic and web administrator at CTU’s head office in Garsfontein, Pretoria for more than 2 years. He decided to focus more on freelance work and did it for almost 2 years. He got sub-contracted by an agency called Studio CX in Honeydew where he was hired as a Flash animation and graphic designer for approximately 6 months.
He now works at Sureswipe as a Graphic & Digital Designer where he focuses on building the brand, and assists with marketing campaigns.
