Let’s celebrate women this International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8 and is essentially the story of ordinary women as the makers of history. It is entrenched in the long-lived struggle of women to participate in society on an equal footing with men.
Today, International Women’s Day is a day where we salute the strength and undeniable resilience of women from all over the world and from all walks of life. We band together to celebrate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women globally; by following 2022’s International Women’s Day theme to “break the bias” (#breakthebias), which is a call for all society to pursue gender equality and focus greater attention on women’s rights, internationally.
This International Women’s Day, we are looking forward to more women playing a vital role in the world of technology. We seek to revel in women’s achievements and increase visibility whilst calling out inequality, which is essential. Just imagine a gender-equal world, a world free of prejudice, typecasts, and judgment. Imagine a whole world that is varied, impartial, comprehensive, and where difference is valued and celebrated.
2022’s International Women’s Day should be a day where collectively we forge women’s equality. “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” – Gloria Steinem.

Pro-women empowerment at CTU

At CTU we are pro-women empowerment and believe in invigorating the opportunities that seem impossible. One of the many ways we do this is through the upskilling and the support we demonstrate to all women in business.
CEO of CTU Training Solutions, Juanie Newby’s message for International Women’s Day is “The world needs more WOMEN Heroes and leaders that will truly challenge gender equality, who can create, innovate, and challenge the world. WOMEN who can bring something to the world that has never been done or known before. We’re in the throes of the 4th industrial revolution, and we find ourselves in uncharted territory every day. There is a need for WOMEN who aren’t afraid to take risks and create solutions that will address the challenges we face today and those we’ll face in the future.”
We celebrate her and our other directors: Erna Ferreira (Group Academic Director) and Bonita Brown (Business Development Director: Corporate & Part Time) on this International Women’s Day.
This International Women’s Day is a call for all to #breakthebias as at least 58% of small and medium-sized business (SMB) Entrepreneurs in Africa are women.
We look forward to more women playing a vital role in the world of technology.
