The Evolution of Design: The Impact of AI - Present and Future
AI is likely to impact all jobs, just to varying degrees. Specific tasks that to be performed related to jobs, skills required, wages, and hours will all likely be adjusted. There will inevitably be winners and losers from the adoption of AI. AI’s impact on design jobs will also likely depend on the relative focus of the designer. Some website builders use AI programs to create web designs for individual clients by learning about their tastes and contents. Automatic design services like this makes design widely accessible and may free designers from having to perform certain routine tasks, while allowing them to focus on work that will cater to high-end demands for designs to be done by humans through human interaction. The extend of present and future AI capabilities must be considered as a singular design experience to users as opposed to the shared experiences and ideas created by a team of designers.
The webinar will bring together a panel of corporate, academic, and related experts in our country to discuss AI and the future of design - how will design systems help us augment our creativity, relationships and humanity? The webinar will be attended by industry experts, academia, students, alumni, Government, and other interested parties. It will be a less formal, roundtable like discussion with a facilitator, and will last for approximately 90 minutes.

Head of Programme for CAD

CTU Training Solutions

Hi my name is Marlan, I am an employee of CTU training solutions. I am currently the CAD Facilitator and HOP (Head of program) for CAD. I have 20yrs of industry experience, teaching and working with students has always been my passion. Part of my job description is to develop new material, this is the fun part of my job as I get to create new notes and project/exercises for the students. It is a great feeling of accomplishment, to see a student being challenged with content that you have developed. ‘So, when a learner graduates at the end of the year, you know that you have done something right’. BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD.
