Meet the Presenter
Gideon Cloete
Gideon Willem Cloete, was born and raised in Kroonstad. Gideon’s journey in education began with a simple passion to help others understand, grow, and believe in their own potential. After completing his BEd in Mathematics and Accounting, he stepped into the classroom and discovered what would become his life’s calling.
Over the years, Gideon has taught Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy with unwavering dedication, guiding learners toward success and confidence. His excellence in education has earned him recognition as a Senior National Marker, Provincial Examiner, District Teacher Moderator, and award-winning educator, but his greatest reward remains seeing a learner return to say, “Sir, you made a difference.”
Beyond academics, Gideon believes teaching is about shaping character, building resilience, and unlocking purpose. Whether in the classroom or on the cricket field, he leads with heart, discipline, and the belief that every learner carries greatness within them.
