Project management consists of the planning, organisation, motivation and the control and allocation of resources needed to achieve specific goals and objectives. The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with a foundation of basic project management knowledge and skills which can be used to build further project management related competencies. This qualification will give learners the knowledge and skill to put strategies together and the ability to implement the techniques and processes to manage projects.

Virtual Lecturer-led Interactive Teaching (VLIT)

    • Implement project administration processes according to requirements.
    • Plan, organise and support project meetings and workshops
    • Use the writing process to compose texts required in the business environment
    • Interpret and use information from texts

Module 3 – Project Initiation and Scope Management

    Lessons

    • Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope control.
    • Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise
    • Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub-project and monitor and controls actual cost against budget.

    • Develop a simple schedule to facilitate effective project execution
    • Monitor, evaluate and communicate simple project schedules
    • Use mathematics to investigate and monitor the financial aspects of personal, business, national and international issues
    • Represent analyse and calculate shape and motion in 2-and 3dimensional space in different contexts
