Human Resource Management (N4-N6)




Human resource management has a specialised scope that focuses on staffing, compensation, and training and development. This programme prepares students for careers in human resources and it is built around the view that human resource specialists must also have good business acumen. The curriculum provides a balance of business and general education requirements, along with foundational courses in human resources areas.

Career Focus

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties in organization.
  • Nurture and develop the talents and skills of people.
  • Act as the liaison between HR and employees.
  • Ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
  • Assist in creating policies, processes and documents.

Learner Material

  • A list of textbooks will be provided by the Campus Academic Department.
  • All textbooks are excluded from the tuition fees.

Requirment:

A laptop* and a minimum of 10GB data per month (uncapped recommended) are required.

EXAMINATION

Department of Higher Education & Training (DHET) is the only examination body responsible to set and administer National Examinations. Only students who have registered and complied with the administration requirement will be allowed to write examination.

NATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • National Certificate: N4 Human Resource Management (SAQA ID 66873, NQF Level 5)
  • National Certificate: N5 Human Resource Management (SAQA ID 66953, NQF Level 5)
  • Certificates and Diplomas are issued by the DHET.
    The release of Statements of results and Certificates are dependent on DHET Timeline.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 – National Senior Certificate (NSC); N3 Certificate; Level 4 NCV; Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

NATIONAL QUALIFICATION

National N Diploma: Human Recourse Management (NQF Level 6). SAQA ID 90674 LP 67039.

After the successful achievement of the N6 National Certificate, it is compulsory for learners to complete 18 months In-Service Training in order to obtain a National N Diploma.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

National Certificate: N6 Human Resource Management (SAQA ID 66997, NQF Level 5) after the completion of the N6 modules.
